Let's Get Learning ] [ Links to Learning ] Extended Learning Pathway ]

In December 2006 we completed Links to Learning with over 750 learners participating in 66 courses run over 2 years.

We believe the success of the Links to learning programme it down to five things:-
  1. Providing courses people have requested
  2. Running them locally in village and community venues
  3. Our open- to-everyone invitation
  4. Using local marketing such as Parish Magazines and posters for local shops
  5. Progressing people to further learning opportunities
A BIG thank you to...
  • Parish magazines, local newsletters, local shops and meeting places for displaying our posters advertising courses
  • Venue key holders and caretakers for providing suitable place to hold our courses
  • Our delivery partners for helping make it happen!
  • Our tutors and trainers for the excellent courses they have run
  • Our students for being willing to learn, and attending in all weathers

Without you we could not have completed
'LINKS TO LEARNING'

Courses run for the 'Links' programme have included a wide range of subjects, such as Barge-ware Painting, Sage Accounting, Healthy Lunchboxes and Nordic Walking as well as certified courses like Emergency First Aid and Food Hygiene.
295 people have gained a certificate through our courses!
Our aim was to encourage people to move on to other courses that will benefit them or help with employment or promotion at work. Feedback collected from our learners show that over 89% intend to continue learning through courses run by other providers, including Adult Education, Paston College, City College, COWA and independent tutors.

A real success, we're sure you will agree.
